You do not have to be present to win, so please pre-order as many golf balls as you can, AND PLEASE HELP SUPPORT THIS FUNDRAISING EVENT BY SHARING THIS EVENT WITH ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY AND ASSOCIATES. The money raised will help to purchase unbudgeted safety equipment for the Santa Barbara Fire Department, such as a “Wave Jet” battery powered ocean rescue surf board. (Golf Balls can also be purchased at the event on Sept 29th.)
The press release is going out August 27, 2013 – here are a few highlights from it:

Team ServiceMaster has been busy collecting donated golf balls and working with the Santa Barbara Firefighters Alliance (SBFA) to create this fun way to raise much needed equipment funds.  This community event will be held at one of the largest family oriented festivals in the local area.  “What better way to involve our community in saying thank you to our firefighters for all they do all year long by helping to raise money for equipment that will ultimately be used for the community that’s supporting them in this event,” said Justin Haagen, Marketing Director for ServiceMaster Anytime .

There is a very simple concept behind the Golf Ball Drop. Citizens have the option to purchase numbered golf balls for a set price ($10 each or 3 for $25). All of the purchased balls will then be loaded into the air via Fire Station 11’s Ladder Truck. The balls will be dropped over a giant painted Bulls-Eye at Girsh Park near Safety Street. The last ball that lands closest to the center of the bulls-eye will win a 50/50 money spilt (from the golf ball proceeds) – half goes to the winner and half goes to SBFA. The winner need not be present to win.

Please send in your order ASAP – thank you in advance for your support and generosity!
